2 player co-op problem

2 of us like to play on the same team and switch between players manually but when i switch player he automatically runs towards the player with the ball for a split second which ruins the run i wanted to make.
What can i do.
 
I don't think you can do anynthing about it. It totally ruins the coop mode of the game... :( Hopefully they will fix it for PES5.
 
Don't press R1, I think it makes the player run for the ball. I had to get used to it for some time, but I don't use R1 much in WE9 anymore anyways.
 
Also if you change player when the ball is in the middle of being passed this usually happens.

Pass the ball, wait for it to get to who you passed to, then change. Its slightly annoying and takes some getting used to, but it does help.
 
It happens to me all the time, you change cursor and the player runs the wrong way for a second and then you have control over him, nothing you can do really.
