HDTV on PS2

Found this on the web, there has been a Xploder/Blaze Device which can help with your PS2 to convert to HDTV, but if the games are 480p compatible. How can they go from 480p to 720p/1080i if the games don't support 720p?

Then you need a VGA Cable whatever they are?

This isn't right, it makes no sense, I may do this in the future though, so it looks stylish.

It just upscales the image, it'll look better on a HDTV than the standard 480i/480p signal would, but not anything like something natively running in 720p+
