How to pass from FK

in WE8, PES 4 i pressed select and then another player came. and then i pressed R3 and he just touched the ball and play on.
now i must press L2 long to call another player, but when i press R3, nothing happens. what should i do?

in game press start and there is button called commands. This has all the types of passes etc and how to do them
