When trying to take pics of my tv with my phone i get these thick black lines so you cant see hardley anything is there any way to combat this please any help would be appreciated

you can try and time it to when there arent black screens Cos you can get it without the lines but its hard to do. Otherwise you need a good camera that combats the lines.

If im far away i dont get the lines,its just when im close up to the screen?
Is it something to do with a tv card you can get?

try turning your camera on the side and taking it. i think some good camera's have a switch on where you can change the mode.
