Regardless of whether the keeper could've done a bit better, it was a fantastic strike from McFadden. Well done to the Scots, shame the Irelands did shit.
 
i've just saw the republic's result, beaten 1-0 away from home and down to 10 men against the 9th best team in the world (that's 3 places higher than the mighty, all-conquering england) - hardly what i would call a 'shit' performance.

I'm pissed off. I'm delighted for Scotland but sad because it's bad for my team, France.

Our long passes and crosses are sooooooo poor that Scotland managed to stay in the game easily (without the ball) and destroyed us as soon as they could.

Domenech is not a coach. France plays slowly, with 20 passes phases and no spirit. This problem was already present 2 years ago and that's why he had to call Zidane from his retirement.

The other problem we have are the two defensive midfielders. Vieira-Makelele are doing a great job but they should be involved during attacks.

Even if the keeper saved it, I still can't believe what Anelka missed ](*,). I regret that a lot because even with 3 of the best strikers in Europe they only get 1 or 2 opportunities per game.

Qualification is still possible with 3 wins but the players are not confident anymore.

Congrats to Scotland, you're a valiant team which deserves its points.

I hope Italy qualify early and play a pish side aggainst us in the last game as we might struggle aggainst Ukraine at home.

Watch us Beat Ukraine and get Beat by Georgia in typical Scottish fashion.

Haven't seen the match, but boy am i happy for the Scots...i hope Scottish football will no longer be considered as the ugly child of European football (it's Belgian football now i'm afraid).

Game was on live here but i was at work.

I would have been freaking out.

Got home Switched on SkySports News on FOX and they showed the goal and i was screaming at the wife did they equalize what was the score etc.

Watching the repeat tonight at midnight EST
