no its a psn code but the redeem code page asks for 3,4 box digits

Press the Xbox home button scroll all the way to the left and select 'redeem code' from the list. Then type the code and download.

Possibly. Are you actually in the US?

If you have the cash perhaps try and make a new live profile? (I doubt the code is linked to the profile you put in the registration)
