Play with someone overseas

I was wondering if it's possible to play with someone in canada and if anyone has tried. Obviously i will take a copy of pro evo 5 there and use swap magic to launch it on the canadian playstation and hook up to the internet with the canadian dsl line
If anyone knows if there are any probs with this please let me know especially if it's possible to connect to the european lobbies.
