(PS2 - PES6) Edit teams question

Why is it that all options are blacked out and not accessible in the edit teams menu? I'm relatively new to this game so can someone please explain that to me? Also, what tools would I need to change some graphical elemts, specifically uniforms? Man Utd has yellow goalie kits which kid of goes against "Jolly Green Giant" being green.
