Swap Magic question

...to backup my swap magic dvd disk?? I ask this because it's quite old and i don't want to have to shell out for a new one if it stops being read. Will a backed up version still boot? Thanks

No it wont, Swap Magic DVD's have to be factory pressed as they have intentional bad sectors on them. Any retail DVD burner you get will think of these sectors as errors and will correct them.

If your SM DVD stops working, then you'll just have to buy another one unfortunately.

Well if a backup of the disc worked, it basically defies the point of the disc in the first place.
