Battlefield 2 : Modern Combat PC & Consoles

Why is the 360 versions maps so small compared to PC? i thought it was next gen game? just graphics i guess then. i would have expected same size maps as in PC version with high end graphics or even bigger maps than PC. Ok i know that its for gameplay purposes i guess but still (or because there aint enough players in live?) what if they would have changed it that in the multiplayer you have a 4 man squad that you control and large maps ? like in GRAW singleplayer, or the outfit.
