Pepper63 v Jaygrim would be like a Big Match revisited from the 70s :LOL:. Some shocking tackles going in I imagine :CONFUSE:.

Great thanks mate ;) and don't worry about steering us wrong with the sliders - I'd sooner try your 'test' sliders while you are fine tuning. I should have my copy of FIFA13 in a couple of hours!!
 
Another small thing I love about the game is that the keepers are "human", despite the fact they will make incredible saves at times, the goal feels big and you know if you place it right the keeper will have no chance, they can't move across their goal at ridiculous speeds to save shots. I've scored grounded finesse shots from 25 yards just because it went through a crowd and the keeper was unsighted, I hope they don't dial the keepers up in the final game.

I have no idea about supermarket deals but I got the game on Origin when you could do the India trick.

Looks great, but not realistic.. I am goalkeeper and I can tell you, ball will never bounce like that.. its not hockey puck ffS! Its huge ball, it can't bounce like that from my glove.

So once again, besides faces FIFA looks good, but not realistic in some aspects.

10/10 for the effort tho!

Can't wait to get home tonight and get more games on this.

After rejecting a move to Barcelona from Liverpool after only just starting my VP career, a week later I was offered to go to Aldershot on loan. I accepted, and balked at the new requirements!

Can't remember exactly off the top of my head but I need to create something like 56 goalscoring chances and score 10 goals ... something like that.

Anyway, first game comes and it's a friendly against Mjallby and I'm put into RCM. I ended up scoring a penalty and then scored in the 90th minute with a cracking left foot shot. I had a rating of 9.5 and my short passing seemed to play a big part in that. The teammate AI was superb and always seemed to find me when I made runs into space.

Also had the CPU foul me a few times during a match, though it's always for shirt pulling rather than poor tackles. Still, good to see.

Good job I have no plans to play online it is way to quick! I'm on the PC using dynamnic camera..I can slow the game down using sliders though..Not sure why they have speeded it up so much
 
Hmm 5 mins into my first "retail" Fifa match and it definitely feels a bit different, first touch seems toned down so far.

Typical EA they're absolutely petrified of admitting anything is ever wrong with their games, getting patch notes for Fifa titles over the years has made teeth pulling seem enjoyable.

What about the keepers who do it all in real life.. Like De Gea, Casillas and Julio Cesar? You telling me that when I see them pull these saves off, in imagining it.
 
I assumed he was implying that you can't palm the ball away and it to move away at that velocity/distance (hence my comment about the heel of your hand).
 
I wonder if you'll see that sort of excessive rebound when the Shot Power slider is not raised. Either way, it's fairly insignificant really (in the context of a game).

I also just got a pre-order code for 24 weekly gold packs from Origin.
I wish I could sell them too, would be a massive bonus if I could get £15 for it like someone mentioned, I only paid £11 for the game.
 
Early access was never going to get patched though.

So far I've had three freezes in about an hour with the retail, first one was when importing early access data, completely froze except for the loading icon spinning around, after about 10 minutes I exited to dash, restarted and then my data was there and loaded ok for example CM save, next two were CM menu freezes, just randomly for no reason.
 
Also tried Ultimate Team last night. I obviously get the free pack full of bronze players rated 50-60 etc. But I was also given two extra packs. Opening those and now half of my team has gold players. I know Lindegaard and Maicon are two of the players.

Not sure how I feel about that. I like starting with a rubbish team and lucking out getting a good player in a pack. So to get such a headstart like this feels like I'm missing half of the fun of UT. I could always sell the players, I guess.
