As a child I was told that custard, obviously a nice sweet pudding to a child was made with egg.

Of course there is something called egg custard.

To me as a kid that ruined custard for me..

It was like being told that chocolate owed much of its taste and consistency to a turd, like being told that chocolate was made out of turd.

a bit pointless but a bit funny IMHO. :lol:

Wrong part of the forum (should be in off-topic) but good post, you should join in the Random Crap thread, it's full of stuff like that. :)

Similar thing with me, actually. I used to love custard as a child until I was told it had eggs in it (always hated eggs from the minute I knew they came out of a chicken's arse). Went straight off it then, but now in my old age I'll eat it again.
