i do nearly all the time but they just dont jump i use x to header is there any other tips

Add this with liberal use of R2+dir to jostle for the ball. You wont win all, but 50/50 is fair, don't you think. Sometimes when jostling nither palyer may win the ball, both go up and both fall down. Even if you don't win it, just challenging will make the CPU headers less accurate, so you may end up with a turnover on the loose ball.

I depends on your player strength/jump/header attributes.

i changed my contol to 0 to shoot and square long ball as well as square to sliding takle and circle for pressure 2


does that alter what you where saying to mee does it mean 0 to head shot , square to head from defence?
 
Shoot button = clearance header from defence / shot header in attack.
Pass button = pass header (not as strong as above).

Done.
