I think there should be a preference to avoid this. But again, I am not a moderator/admin. So it will be forever like that - Homer will never be able to dial phone if he doesn't lose weight.

I've disabled it. If people want it back (meaning at least two), let me know.
 
Thank you. I thought it was useless - when you click Mark Read after entering a forum, it opts you again to click Mark Read. On the other hand - if you accidentally click twice, whole forum is read.

Sorry for being the Karen in the room, but thanks again for disabling it.

It was installed because an older version of the forum software used to do that and people wanted it back after it was lost in an upgrade. It probably doesn't make sense any more with all the updates that have since been made. Just so you know its back story, Karens. x
