In Fantasista Mode every time I have used the R1+R2 quick free kick option my stupid teammate just lightly kicks the ball forward a few feet resulting in a turnover. The R1+R2 option seems useless. Is there a way to control the direction and strength of the pass?

That was a problem in FIXED CURSOR mode in PES6/WE2008 aswell I think. Sometimes your teammate would just kick the ball without concern for where or how hard. I don't think there is anything you can do about it.
