Microsoft Xbox 360

The new Dash is awesome

So easy to navigate and the party mode with upto 8 people chatting is brilliant. I installed COD5 to the HDD and i couldnt even tell my 360 was on it was that quiet :))

Oh and and that Avatar had me addicted for a bit, me and some mates were just fucking about with that for a bit having a laugh
 
I'm getting slight gay vibes from the whole thing, three people have said to me "nice avatar". What am I supposed to say to that, "I like yours too, have you seen what Maurice from Townfield Road has done to his hair? Shudder!"
 
I played UNO and installed the update and your avatar is there playing cards!!! Looks funny. It's a nice quirky addition. Will it bring much in reality probably not, but I like it.
 
anyone has any freezes or it pausing for a few seconds before it then continues to work?

mine has locked up twice now and i had to turn it off

it has also froze briefly while navigating through the guide button and browsing pictures.. does it everytime..
 
I had this problem twice when I wanted to get out of a friend menu. I don't want to try again...

I installed FIFA09 to the hdd, but you need to have the disc on the console if you want to play. Otherwise you could install the games and then sell them of lend them to friends.

No problems at all for me, its alot faster than the old dash as well

Installing games is awesome :) I was getting really pissed off with the loud noise when playing games, it's almost gone now, makes it much more enjoyable when you can just play the game without having a constant annoying noise :).

I've installed all my games apart from FIFA 08 (which I will most likely never play again), i'm glad I got an Elite now for the 120gb HDD :).

They are yeah, looks cool I think :COOL:. The whole new dashboard looks very slick and is easy to use. I think there will be another update shortly to fix the Xbox crashing when you go into a friends page and then try and go back out! Overall though, very good :)).

Now I just need a bigger hard drive...
 
It almost seems like there's something wrong playing a game with the xbox actually silent. It's great :)

I know you're saying, I was playing fallout last night and was in this underground bunker and heard this sort of whistling noise muted the TV and it was on the game!

Never heard it before as I had a jet turbine in the room pre NXE.

Best update ever?

Kotakuite Nate sends us in a helpful tip for not only sharing our New Xbox Experience avatars online, but also putting them in odd situations, like being balanced on the head of an adorable bunny rabbit. All you need to do is take the URL "http://avatar.xboxlive.com/avatar/GAMERTAG/avatar-body.png", and replace GAMERTAG with...well, your gamertag. This gives you a lovely transparent PNG image, suitable for placing on top of other random things. Not only that, but you can do it with your friends' avatars as well, leading to endless forum hilarity in the near future. I can just taste it
 
I could do with a bigger HDD

can you swap 20gb and 120gb stuff with each other?

i have a mate who wont use his 120gb but obviously will want to keep his saves and what not and i need to transfer all my stuff over
