Anyone played in any of the online competitions?

I tried last night, and it let me pick 3 teams, then waited for ages
and finally disconnected me.

Just wondering what format they take, and why did I have to pick 3
teams?

The idea of the tourney is good u get allocated say 11 stars, u choose 3 teams with these stars so say brazil 5 stars man city 2 stars and Man U 4 stars. so you will play with these 3 team alternativly. The computer chooses who u play as well, ur oppo could be from the moon with dial up and u gotta play no exiting. But the other prob is if u dont cheat u will never ever win. i entered last nite and the guy who won played 4 won 4 26 goal difference. Thats 6.5 goals per game average my hairy ass. he must have been a lagger or something i have never experience b4 in the game (genius):( . but like i say the format is ok and worth 1 try but do not expect to win the cup boooooo.
