Yeah, to be fair, every player that uses tucked-in shirt looks kinda obese. One that comes to mind is Allan (former Napoli, current Everton).

I guess the simple (and maybe obvious) explanation is that untucked shirt stretches the torso vertically to the eye, which naturally makes one look slimmer and taller.
To add to this, Benzema is a player with a naturally wide torso, so tucked-in shirt on him makes him look chubby.
Imagine someone like Shaqiri using tucked-in shirt lmao
Although, to be fair, Shaqiri makes untucked shirt look tucked-in.
