Hope this an appropriate post. I know some people will be pleased to know. Sony has just confirmed at this years Game Developers Conference (GDC) that PS3 will be a region free system, making it possible to play games from any region on the PS3.

Sony has also stated that the blue ray discs will be large enough to include multiple languages, making it possible for worldwide title releases. Too bad Konami will probably never take the time to code winning eleven in both english and japanese for a worldwide release. Still great news for importers like myself.
