@ Paul,

Arent you a webdesigner? Surely you, or someone you know can come up with an original design. I would never get a tattoo, but if I did I would design my own, based on some abstract painting/artist, rationalise/abstract it in to some sort of vertical/horizontal/diagonal play with lines. Now that's a one of kind design :D

That way you can use your favorite art(ist)/piece to incorparate it. Would be better then some current fad.

Yep and I will be designing most of it myself, but I'm not kidding myself to think I can design a full sleeve tattoo - its a specialist job.

In the same way I wouldnt expect a tattoo-ist to know how to design a web site!

But I have some good ideas and have downloaded a load of images that I want incorporated into it - so hopefully the designers can take that and make it something unique.

Spoke to them yesterday and they reckon it could cost around £1,300 and take around 5-6 months to complete... ouch!

WISE DA FUCK UP.............

1300 Quid for a tattoo, I can think of about a thousand ways to spend that than on a tattoo. You'd be there just looking at your arm going, fuck me I spent over a grand on this!

Ha! I know what you mean - my mum said "think of all the gadgets you could buy with that" (I'm a gadget whore!), but I said I've run out of gadgets.

It is a (ridiculously) large amount of money, but it will be done in stages over a number of months, so wont seem so bad.

I dont drink or smoke ("what DO i DO?!"), so its not so bad...
 
It's not so bad........... fuck man no way, a grand is still a grand, go on holiday, treat your lady, hell treat your parents, buy some art, buy a BOSE sound system, pimp your Kia, get a new phone, sponsor a child or an endangered animal or both, get a season ticket for Southend.

The whole done over stages and number of months means nowt lad, remember this is permenant, this is not marker pen, it's not a fade away thing. Your dropping alot of dough on it in the end, but hey that's just my view on it. So I'll finish with.

If you do get one, Paul, make sure to go to a proper tattooist and not some 10 year old with a marker pen like CW did :LOL:.

LOL... you make a good point! Without sounding too gross or flashy, things are going really well with my business and I can afford it.

When things go tits up and I am living on the streets, I'll still have that to look back on - where will my Bose sound system get my when I'm shitting in an old can of beans hmmm?? Nothing!! :LOL:

Ha! yea, I will - the guy that (i hope) will be doing it, is one of the best tattoo-ists in the world (apparantly!) so, I am prepared to wait until November for when he is free to start the work.

I dont want no YTS kid and his felts on it and end up with a 'Wrighty' :LOL:

dude seriously listen to holio, or me, i would invest that money in the stock market, its low right now, and there is no doubt it will come back. my index fund has done %40 since january, had you bought apple in november you would have made over $50 a share.. go get a UK equivalant of a Roth IRA. If anyone here knows what that is, tell the man. Dont wast your money on that!

:D My mum phoned me up and said "is that a scallywag"... had no idea what she was on about - daft cow!

I love it though, its perfect to the original, he did a great job on it.

Same guy is doing my sleeve starting October, but I think I'll try to have a few more done before then!

Yea, I will be - probably get some of their lyrics somewhere too. Wanna get 'Carpe Diem' next for around my wrist as the meaning behind it ("Sieze the day") means a lot to my current situation.
