The Movies Thread

The Breakfast Club is great stuff, Ferris Buellers Day Off is still the king for me when it comes to teen movies.

I wouldn't exactly call Breakfast Club a comedy. Grosse Point Blank is superb though
No it's got some laugh out loud stuff in there though, I just love the movie I give it a mention whenever I can, I still have the movie poster framed in my my office...

Richard Vernon: What was that ruckus?
Andrew Clark: Uh, what ruckus?
Richard Vernon: I was just in my office and I heard a ruckus.
Brian Johnson: Could you describe the ruckus, sir?

Richard Vernon: The next time I have to come in here I'm crackin' skulls.

Even the old woman looks shit in it

at least the other one looked crazy not like a zombie

Too right, he's won numerous awards for his role. He is easily the best, most well played character I have seen in anything. EVER!

The Darjeeling Limited

8/10

Started off pretty weirdly, I didn't quite work the film out. But as it goes on, there's some hilarious moments and it's actually a really good film. I hadn't heard of it before I watched it, don't think it's been advertised much, but it's well worth searching out for. Jason Schwartzman is the funniest character for me, although the chief steward on the train is comedy also :D

You should watch all of Wes Anderson's films. Hes my favourite director and always uses the same actors and characters. Rushmore is the best I think, followed by the Life Aquatic and the Royal Tenenbaums.

Saw 'Street Kings' today. What a great film, brilliant director, great cast. Forrest Whitaker and Keano Reeves outdid themselves.

Has my seal of approval

p.s. It's from the same director as Training Day, one of my favourites, so has a similar feel to it.

Wheyyy, Superbad came today.

The quality is stunning, colours are beautiful (40" Samsung M87, 1080p)

Boy do I love High-Definition.

Can't wait for I Am Legend to come either today, or Monday.

Iron Man

It's a very mature movie and I LOVED it !!!
Downey Jr. is amazing, in fact all the cast is great. The CGI is neat and quite impressive.

Pure class.

9+/10

Watched "Deja Vu" a few days ag, pretty good film. 7/10 for me.

And Zoolander too :) Very funny film, some of the moments were REALLY funny and it's probably the funniest I've ever seen Owen Wilson. 8/10.

Next on my list is Old School.

Frank the Tank!

Watched 10,000 BC the other day. Pretty good, but couldn't help thinking it was a bit of a rip off of Apocalypto, which in my opinion is the better film.

Also saw 'Narc' again last night. What a great performance from Ray Liotta.

Harold and Kumar:Escape from Guantanamo Bay was HILARIOUS.

Better than the first one in my opinion.

A must-watch for comedy fans.
