The TV Show Thread

Shadowline, a bbc-produced TV-show, only one season, but what a season that is, imho absolutely brilliant. 10/10, no wait... 11/10.:))
 
You mean "The Shadow Line" right about the amnesiac cop with a bullet in his head? Yes it was very good, old though, watched it last year :)
 
Chuck season 1 and season 2, extremely entertaining comedy/parody of agent-movies... with heart. 8/10

Chuck season 3-5: What happened? Pure nonesense, no heart, just bad. 1/10
 
Just finished Season 4 of Breaking Bad, absolutely brilliant series this. I'll start on the 5th season that is now showing after I've caught up with Game of Thrones.

Can't believe the UK never took to this, I thought it hadn't been shown but appears that it has, twice. FX had it on, but never did well, 120k viewers for it as opposed to 450k for Falling Skies (WTF!). Then it was on Channel 5 USA, but at 11pm, so that went out the window too.

Been absolutely brilliant though and the story has been great, very shocked at the ending though.............................. :o (and I mean the very end not Gus).

I have to agree with most of ye on this. To put it simply this is what a telly was made for. For me its better than the wire, sopranos, thrones, dexter anything else i can think of and i cannot think why, even to this day its still somewhat of a "sleeper". Only heard bout it 4 to 5 months ago even tho its started 2008 me thinks
 
It leaked a while ago. Its not bad, could be awful or great but worth watching more episodes.
 
Gonna watch "Being Liverpool" episode 1 now! Trailer looked very interesting! Nice to get a behind the scenes look at a club.
 
Just seen the 3rd episode of Revolution, I'm struggling to get into it I must admit, it almost feels like I've watched it before.

Feels a lot like V, FlashForward or Lost, even if the plot isn't the same.
 
I stopped watching halfway through episode 2. Really poor acting, plotholes and other small things just add up to making it a disappointment. Bad to write off a show so soon but the flaws annoy me already and I can't see them changing.
 
I've watched 3 eps and can't really be assed to continue. Homeland and Dexter are back, so this has been bumped from my Monday night viewing.

Mondays have high expectations for me :D

I've also started the West Wing and absolutely love it!
 
Watch Game of Thrones, enjoyed it, the usual end of season cliffhanger. Peter Drinklage is absolutely fab in it.

And Boardwalk Empires has returned, really enjoying that, Bobby Cannavale's character looks a right good addition to the story. An amazing show for me.

Walking Dead returns to US this week too, so I'll probably give that a look-in too. Another big favourite of mine.

Anyone watch the pilot for The Arrow? Really enjoyed it, main lead impressed me a lot and I like the dark tone it's taking, much darker than Smallville for example which is good IMO.
 
I enjoyed Arrow, one of the better new shows about. It really is basically Batman with a bow & arrow ... not a bad thing though :)
