Wrong, it grows on you, the more of it you watch. It's not that the later seasons become better (the best ones are imho season 3 and 4), it's just that later you get it what makes the show work and you get addicted (hehe, no pun intended) to it.

It's really one of the best shows ever, and really must-see-TV, although I have to say that season 5 was a bit weaker than the previous four.
 
I had come in and big up The Wire when its mentioned :LOL:

As people said the more you watch the more you get to know the characters and find out what there up to or fighting for

Even better when you watch it through a second time as well because you see every detail you wouldn't have understood the first time know because you already know the characters

Dunno about best season because there all good but one at the docks stand out for me. Also there are some proper twists throughout the season that had me shocked :LOL:
