its been a long time coming!

Re: PES 2008 Next gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

This game is going to be much better than the one that we recieved for PES6. Looks like a lot more deatil has gone into the making of PES2008!

cannot wait to hold the ps3-copy in my hands. - hope they do´nt leave out so many original features...

Re: PES 2008 Next gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

Ronaldinho is doing his elastico in that screenshot so we know that, that skill is still in the game.

Re: PES 2008 Next gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

time to get everyone over here

ThomasGOAL, what do you think of the game so far

Re: PES 2008 Next gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

I'm still dissapointed with the graphics, they look a little bit better than Pro Evolution Soccer 6 but not much.

The new gameplay features sound great though and I'm glad that the proper edit mode is back.

I like the name change too.

Re: PES 2008 Next gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

Name change is a good thing,

graphics are better than Xbox 360 version slightly, but to be honest it is what i was expecting, over the next two years though we will see drastic changes in the graphics. i just hope it has that NBA 2K7 sort of fluidity and clothes movement, sweat etc

Re: PES 2008 Next gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

was the big thing you could not say in the podcast about how the formations change in the game ?

or is there still more to come.

Had me ps3 from the day it came out and this is what i have been waiting for !!!

pes and gta out in the same month !

pes will be getting some use out off i own 2 pads better invest in some more

Well, i'm very confiant about the game, i'm a little beat disappointed about the graphisme, but the player model is simply amazing, but i wait too see high definition pictures, and the new AI system i don't yet enough for the moment but look very promissing.

Re: PES 2008 Next gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

Hi everyone,

Waiting for this game as everybody around here...
But having the PC version of PES6 and having played the 360 version, I don't want to see this kind of graphics.
Next-Gen can do much more interesting 3D physical elements.
On other websites they said that's those screenies are from X360 version and I hope so...cause it's very close to PES 360 graphics....
But the additions announced seem to be very interesting and promising !!

Re: PES 2008 Next gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

In terms of gameplay, I hope Konami remove the filthy tactic known as 'cutbacks'. I mean the new improved AI should make the defenders realise that it is a bad idea to leave Rooney och Adriano alone in the box straight in front of goal! ;)

Re: PES 2008 Next gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

According to W.E.N.B., PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC-DVD all use the same next-gen graphics. :)

Re: PES 2008 Next gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

WOOOOO! Anyone got a rough release date for the 360?? How much later than the PS3?

Re: PES 2008 Next gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

i'm so excited about the AI forcing me to change the way i play, finally i can have tactical battles!!!

Re: PES 2008 Next gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

Hey Konami, if you're reading this, Costinha (#6 for Portugal), hasn't played for the national team for over a year now.

Cristiano Ronaldo need his shirt untucked, :)

Give me better AI, edit mode, proper leagues, untucked shirts and NBA2K7 like animation and i'll be happy.

Re: PES 2008 Next gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

Yeah, cutbacks must be reduced. Should happen more often that the defender slides in to clear it.

Re: PES 2008 Next gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

I wouldnt be too confident about the team line ups airjoca.... Konami ALWAYS mess that up. But so do EA.

Re: PES 2008 Next gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

NBA 2K7 has set the standard as far as next gen sports games go i think its fair to say.

Re: PES 2008 Next gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

On the picts you can see a little grass like a golf green

Re: PES 2008 Next gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

According to W.E.N.B., PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC-DVD all use the same next-gen graphics. :)

This will be interesting considering in past PC has used PS2 engine and its about time they did use next gen engine. :)

Re: PES 2008 Next gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

Guys I look forward to some of the elements they promise,
but the graphics, pretty dissapointed.

But lest wait and see it in motion, because that can make a big difference

Re: PES 2008 Next gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

Shouldn't this thread be in the Pro Evolution Soccer sections?

PES 2008 is world wide title i think, and nothing changes fro sure between the european, japanese versions

:(

i was hoping that the ps3 cell processor would somehow make it's relevance with this
